Summary:
Under the general direction of the Marketing & Creative Manager, the marketing and communications specialist will provide marketing and communications support by managing existing marketing programs, helping to develop new marketing programs and creating internal and external marketing materials.
The ideal candidate will have 3
years in a previous marketing role, be able to develop innovative strategies to meet marketing objectives, have excellent writing and communication skills and be able to quickly adjust to changing priorities.
Copy writing is a core part of the job and the candidate must have previous experience developing marketing copy (ads, brochures, billboard headlines, etc.
) and internal communications (e.
g.
newsletters, articles).
They must also be able to manage multiple projects and have experience with digital marketing, website and social media content development / management.
Experience with Google Analytics is preferred.
Essential Job Functions and
Responsibilities:
Copywriting, including ads, brochures, billboard headlines, website content, etc.
Creates and manages the social media plan including new content creation, coordinating content development, and planning/scheduling posts with social media calendar Manages website content updates and tracks performance; creates and maintains performance dashboards.
Develops internal/external communications, including emails, announcements and campaigns.
Coordinates and tracks ad/media placements; tracks performance and success metrics.
Works with marketing team and vendor partners to coordinate offline and online marketing efforts.
Coordinates and proofs both internal and external design projects such as print, radio, television, and online.
Maintains content calendar and write monthly newsletters Performs other duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducational / Minimum Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
Must have a minimum of 3
years in a previous marketing roleDemonstrated experience in writing/communication, project management, social media and other digital marketing strategies, SEM/SEO experience is preferred.
Must be willing and able to work weekend and/or after hours events as needed.
State/Federal Mandated Licensure or Certification Requirements:
NoneBristol Hospital Mandated Educational Requirements:
General orientation at time of hire.
Fire/Safety/Infection Control annually.
Other programs as mandated by Hospital.
Special Requirements:
Strong copywriting, proofing and organizational skills; project management and collaboration platforms; email marketing (e.
g Mailchimp), digital marketing, analytics and experience with content management systems; Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Physical Requirements:
Able to sit, stand, stoop, crouch for periods of time.
Both far/near visual acuity.
The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.
Ability to keyboard for period of time.
Work Environment:
Office setting.
