. This position requires maintaining a positive relationship with Local Organizing Committees (LOC's) and Hosts, while protecting the best interests of the X Games franchise and ESPN/Disney. The candidate will exhibit and promote the core X Games values and priorities worldwide providing leadership in execution of events. Candidate must be willing and able to travel 30% - 60% annually.

# Responsibilities
Work with the LOC to implement the Venue Operations Program that benefits the interests of event staff and all guests at X Games events.
Develop the Venue Design and "Look" of each event. This requires coordination with all ESPN departments and the Host Venue/Resort/City/LOC.
Anticipation of crowd management and flow, staffing needs and on-site game day challenges.
Collaborate with X Games Business Operations to assist and/or develop venue operations and event budgets and attend daily Reconciliation Meetings.
Procure, Schedule, and Manage construction, maintenance, and load-out of venue structures, i.e., scaffold, bleachers, tents/tables/chairs, office trailers, fence, dressing, signage, k-rail/course barriers, asphalt/concrete, connectivity etc.
Administer the creation of the load-in/out schedule with all X Games teams, i.e., Operations, Event Production, TV Production, Sports & Competition, Event Marketing etc. Coordinate and anticipate equipment and manpower needs.
Manage and supervise multi-day, multi-venue, department and vendor construction timelines.
Coordinate venue infrastructure needs with all ESPN departments.
Organize timelines with host facility and emphasize two-way communication regarding host's concurrent events.
Broad range of heavy equipment skills preferred
Oversee the procurement and management of the delivery and installation of facilities as required for each event including, but not limited to; venue offices, office equipment, communications systems & devices, etc. Facilitate site maintenance as required including snow removal.
Manage LOC in the development of plans related to overall Event Management, Security, Guest Services and Crowd Management Plans. Coordinate with the Guest Services
manager
effective onsite services including, but not limited to; gates opening procedure, concessions, information, signage, sanitation, waste management, ATM's, pay phones, etc.
Administer the permitting process ensuring 100% compliance (submission deadlines, meetings, presentations, and hearings). Work with federal and local agencies including, but not limited to; ADA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, Dig Alert, US Forest Service, Building and Safety Department, Street Closures, Public Safety (fire, police, ADA), Parking & Traffic, etc.
Collaborate with the Guest Services Manager, the Sr. Manager, Business Operations, and other key stakeholders to execute coordinated services, including but not limited to, the Staff Services Program, i.e., staff catering, transportation, parking, credentials, and hospitality, and the event transportation plan for all stakeholders, i.e., Traffic, Parking, and Shuttle Plan with State Highway DOT, City Parking & Traffic Dept, and shuttle companies.
Collaborate with Business Operations to originate, edit, and maintain information for the online event staff communications tool, as well as assist in providing pertinent event guest information for and other event websites in conjunction with the event.
Introduce X Games Environmentality initiatives to the LOC to integrate into both Staff and Guest Services.
Work in conjunction with internal ESPN departments such as ESPN Security, ESPN Safety, and ESPN Travel, and ESPN Production to ensure a secure and safe event to promote the best interest of the event and ESPN.
Exhibit proficient knowledge with the "Emergency Response Plan" and "Competition Schedule Change Procedure". Provide leadership in the execution of the "Crisis Management Plan".
# Basic Qualifications
6 years of experience in event operation of a large multi-venue event
Crowd Management experience required
Expected to be highly organized, possess superior communication skills and have the ability to work with a variety of people and agendas in high pressure, fast paced situations both in the office and in the field.
Candidate must be creative, resourceful and dependable.
Heavy Equipment Certifications are required.
Candidate is required to be proficient in Microsoft Office. Candidate must be willing and able to learn other
computer
programs as necessary.
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays. Flexibility to alter work/travel schedule to accommodate events/projects and departmental objectives.
# Preferred Qualifications
7 years of experience in event operations
Knowledge of the Action Sports category and events
Construction Management experience preferred.
History with managing Union Labor preferred.
Visio, Sketch Up, AutoCAD experience preferred.
