Job Description The Project Assistant Editor will focus on effectively updating and editing content on a variety of ESPN platforms including WatchESPN, ESPN3 and Video Syndication. Other responsibilities may include learning how to create and deliver content offerings for Apple TV, Roku, X Box 360, X Box 1 and Edger TV. This person will be responsible for updating and maintaining these products in real time around breaking news plus daily and nightly live events.

Responsibilities o Successful candidate will be trained to operate Scribe for edit purposes and replacement of content to adhere to ESPN Rights and Clearances.
o Will be trained to understand policies and procedures for video content including AP and ESPN style guides.
o Ability to work without direct supervision and communicate daily/weekly tasks via written content plans.
o Has a strong understanding of the integration process between departments in Digital Media.
o Accountable for strict adherence to established ESPN video production procedures and a strong understanding of content rights.
Basic Qualifications o Minimum of 6 months experience in media or radio company.
o Basic problem-solving and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications o Successful candidate will have experience working in a deadline driven newsroom-style environment
o Above-average and varied sports knowledge.
o Ability to apply sports knowledge to recognize news and the most relevant score-driven results.
o Team player able to multitask in a fast-paced sports news environment.
o Proven communication, grammar and organizational skills.
o Able to work a flexible schedule.
Preferred Education Bachelor Degree in a related field (Journalism, Communications, Digital Media, etc)
Required Education HS Diploma or equivalent

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
