The Senior Design Developer, , is a non-managing position that contributes to the development of the leading sports web site. Working under the supervision of the Design Director and Art Directors, Senior Design Developers are responsible for converting design mockups into cross-browser HTML/CSS. This role requires broad knowledge and advanced skills in front-end development, web standards, cross-device development and a solid understanding of available client-side technologies. The Senior Design Developer may be asked to assist in training and mentoring junior development department staff members.

Qualified candidates must have at least a minimum of 4 years of experience working within the field of front-end development, and possess the following characteristics:
Demonstrated ability to develop advanced handwritten front-end code following web standards (HTML5/CSS3, SASS, Javascript, jQuery)
Solid understanding of responsive web development and device limitations
Demonstrated ability to convert Photoshop/Illustrator designs to HTML/CSS
Solid understanding of practical benefits and limitations of Internet technologies (Flash, Javascript, CSS, video)
Some design experience and understanding of user interaction is preferred.
Must have Mac and PC experience and understanding of browser testing across platforms
Experience working within a collaborative development environment (Github experience preferred)
Self-motivated, a natural problem-solver, and a good communicator with a demonstrated ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, both independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Demonstrated track record as lead developer or developer on high traffic Web sites
Demonstrated understanding of the mechanics, contents and operating philosophy of the web site, including an understanding of the optimal experience for a sports fan.
Participates in developing the front-end codebase and standards for and partner/affinity sites

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
