The newly forming Center of Excellence for Advertising Sales Billing and Accounting, located in the Bristol Hub of the recently announced Enterprise-wide Controllership organization, seeks a Senior Accounting Analyst with strong organization, analytical and communication skills. Knowledge of advertising sales and broadcast processes are strongly preferred to support the billing, reporting, and month-end closing responsibilities and provide overall support to the sales teams related to advertising sales revenues.
Responsible for billing, reporting, month-end closing responsibilities and overall support of sales teams related to advertising sales revenues.
Responsible for monthly billing and reporting of assigned accounts and/or networks/stations
Responsible for the actualization of commercial logs for assigned networks/stations.
Responsible for assisting the cash applications team with reconciling paid invoices
Maintain close working relationship with the Sales and Traffic Departments
Responsible for the closing packages which include daily sales totals and pre-bill and post bill reports for presentation to the manager.
Responsible for preparing bill runs and maintaining EDI accounts
Assist in SOX documentation and testing.
Assists in the preparation and input of monthly journal entries.
Assists Manager and Director with other special projects as assigned and required
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of three years of experience with at least 1 year of experience in an accounting or financial related field required.
Strong organization, analytical and communication skills required.
Solid knowledge of advertising sales and broadcast environment strongly preferred.
Billing and receivables work experience a plus.
Preferred Education
BS degree in accounting preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
