Director, Core Services

The Director, Core Services, Systems Management and Integration, is responsible for managing the lifecycle and daily operations for a wide variety of infrastructure based services. This position will have a broad range of responsibilities that require knowledge across the domains of enterprise architecture (physical and virtual servers, SAN, NAS, Linux/Windows, networking, etc) and cloud technologies. The Systems team is focused on evaluation, design, and integration of technologies for the implementation of new infrastructure and services as well as keeping enterprise server based services at optimal performance levels. They are also responsible for designing and monitoring proactive maintenance activities which enable and improve service availability as well as resolving escalated problems. The director will be responsible to guide, mentor, motivate, optimize, and implement metrics to measure and improve the success of the team and its services. The director oversees the selection of technologies and moderates discussions regarding design and implementation of technical hardware and software implementations and updates. The individual will have an in-depth knowledge of Virtualization and cloud infrastructure technologies, Microsoft Office, Windows workstations and servers, SQL server and Exchange administration, Active Directory, and Citrix and Windows Terminal Server technologies.

Responsibilities
? Aligning, organizing, and implementing new services. ? Managing capacity and availability of key systems and services. ? Design and optimize process workflows to be used across the team to improve system uptime, customer satisfaction and decrease reactive work taken on by the team. ? Mentor and grow a strong leadership group within the team and help team members reach their career goals. ? Work with other technology groups to streamline effective processes to drive continuous improvement across infrastructure, services, and support. ? Promote technology based discussion and debate to facilitate the selection of new technologies that will drive ESPN?s future. ? Participate in various steering and project committees representing the Core Services and Infrastructure functions and technologies and assisting in selecting the optimal solutions and involving the right team members. ? Budget and planning for Core Services Systems Management. ? Contract administration including purchase order approval and administration. ? Human resource activities including recruiting, promotion, transfers, termination and salary administration. ? Vendor management and administration.
Requirements
Leadership and management experience and the ability to successfully lead and partner with people at a variety of levels: internally with enterprise staff, finance staff, senior executive staff, as well as externally, with auditors and other groups across The Walt Disney Company.
Demonstrate initiative, exercise good judgment, and have the ability to achieve results through others. Experience with group dynamics, and utilizing innovative leadership techniques is critical.
Superior time management skills for directing a variety of projects in addition to an understanding of the ways in which information technology is applied within the enterprise.
Strong knowledge of contracting, negotiating, organization development/change management, financing, accounting, strategic planning, budget planning and execution, and action planning.
Technical expertise and a proven track record of shepherding the development and integration of diverse technologies are critical.
Very strong conceptual and analytical skills.
The ability to build and leverage vendor relationships.
Background in technical team/service management.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Key systems expertise includes, but is not limited to: Hybrid Cloud, Microsoft products, Linux/Unix, SOA?s (Service Oriented Architecture) and ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library).

Minimum of 10 years? experience leading technology teams with emphasis on effective process design, teamwork, enterprise level support, and team member mentoring.

Additional Qualifications
Experience in the Media Industry
Background in infrastructure support functions.
Customer service experience.
Background with other service/process optimization techniques.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
