Vice President, Original Programming and Production

The Vice President of Original Programming & Production will lead ESPN?s efforts to break new ground in developing innovative content across all platforms for all sports fans. This role will be expected to work closely with other departments such as, Marketing and Sales and Digital Content, to ensure a seamless delivery of fresh, exciting sports content and to maximize revenue opportunities.

Create and execute strategy for original programming development. Oversight of key existing show units and responsible to enhancements when appropriate. Responsible for leading, organizing and managing the creative development and production of a program group or line of business. Accountable for the content quality, budget performance and market share of assigned productions. Directs and controls the full scope of producing activities of a large full time, temporary and/or ?matrixed? staff of producers and other professionals accountable for program development and production. Identifies new markets; creates new program concepts to address new and established markets; enhances the current program line-ups. Work is reviewed by the responsible Senior Vice President in relation to milestones, defined financial outcomes, ratings and viewers? behavior for a program group Oversees and ensures the highest journalistic standards for all sports productions. Directly and through key subordinates, sets and ensures compliance with the highest levels of professionalism in all aspects of production. Creates and adjusts the concepts and content to reach the largest possible number of viewers and to increase ESPN?s market penetration, ratings and viewership and financial result Must be able to develop and present new programming ideas. Oversee show production including people management and budget for assigned show units. Has an excellent level of expertise to create and produce compelling sports programs and programming; able to generate and execute at a high level program and programming concepts, from inception to execution.
Proven track record for developing successful and diverse programming that can be monetized.
Minimum of 15+ years of media experience and proven knowledge of sports media.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with all stakeholder groups.
Ability to manage show unit budget and forecasting.
Has an excellent level of production skills related to sports acumen?
Has a strong appreciation of popular culture and assists with defining the tastes of ESPN?s viewers

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
